Black Leopards coach Ian Palmer will only know his fate in January.

Lidoda Duvha have officially suspended the former Maritzburg United coach after he feel out with club bosses over alleged ill-discipline and a lack of management skills towards players.

Palmer was left behind when Leopards travelled to the Free State to play Bloemfontein Celtic on Wednesday, with assistant coach Abel Makhubela taking over.

Palmer's manager, Karabo Mathang, confirms the receipt of a letter suspending his client from his duties at Leopards.

"We received the correspondence about his suspension from the team yesterday and was told to report back to duty on January 9," she says. "At this moment I am not obliged to reveal the reasons of his suspension as the matter is between the two parties and preferred to remain confidential."
