Bloemfontein Celtic are inviting a Ghanaian striker who plays in Nigeria's Premier League for a trial in January.

Owusu Addae (29), who plays for Dolphins FC in Nigeria's Premier League, is expected to join Phunya Sele Sele in January for an assessment.

Siwelele are currently 7th on the Premiership log and are looking to beef up their forward department ahead of the second half of the season.

"The Ghana striker (Owusu) will be coming in January on the recommendation of our coach," confirms Celtic CEO Khumbulani Konco.

"He plays in Nigeria for Dolphin FC and we'll take a good look at him."

Respected Ghanaian journalist Ibrahim Sannie says: "He played for Berekum Chelsea and Liberty before moving to Nigeria.

"Hi is a good goal scorer and his work rate is outstanding. Like the typical Ghanaian footballer, Addae combines physical strength, pace and intelligence to breakdown the defence of opponents."

Celtic's strikers have not done badly at all this season. Lennox Bacela has scored 5 League goals while Lerato Manzine has netted 4 in the League.

It appears the Telkom Knockout champions want to do everything they can to add variety and depth to the strike department as they make a push for a top five League finish.
