South African woman comes top in Fantasy League
Posted: 6 December 2012
Maris McCance-Price, who hails from Cape Town, got a massive 118 points for her team Mistress Red, thanks to big scores from Michu, Demba Ba and her captain Wayne Rooney, and decent scores from the rest of her team.
Out of over 2.5-million participants in the English Premiership Fantasy League, a South African woman came first in the world for gameweek 15!
The average for the gameweek was 48.
There are 2,507,137 players in the EPL Fantasy League, and 38 game weeks – in other words 38 people claim the coveted top spot in a season.
A staunch supporter of Manchester United, Maris is reportedly the first South African – man or woman – ever to finish as number one.
