New Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has hinted that he is unlikely to make changes to the technical team.
Mosimane was today speaking for the first time as Sundowns coach, following his appointment on Sunday after the club axed Dutchman Johan Neeskens.
The former Bafana Bafana coach says he is likely to keep the same technical team that served under Neeskens such as Alex Bapela and Harold Legodi.
"Regarding my technical team, I am not sure if I will make any changes. I do not like changing things,” Mosimane hints. "I am going to focus on the players for now, my assistants is something I will look into if I feel there is a need [to make changes],” he says.
Mosimane, who feels he is “the right person for the job”, also reveals that Sundowns had approached him before, but that the timing was never right.
“Sundowns approached me and told me about the situation. I was approached several times, but the timing was not right. [But] I feel this is the right time … I could not stay away from football anymore.”
Mosimane's first game in charge will be away to Free State Stars on Wednesday.
