Amakhosi take on the Urban Warriors at Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Stuart Baxter says he is having a tough time getting his players focused on the Ajax match, with the Soweto Derby against Orlando Pirates looming large this weekend.
"The game against Ajax Cape Town is a doubly tough game for us. It is important that both our eyes are fixed on the first game and that is the focus for now. We cannot afford to think about the game over the weekend," the coach told kaizerchiefs.com.
"It can be a bit of a distraction when you have a game ahead of the Derby, which makes the game at hand even more important and tougher. I have to continue addressing this with the players as we continue to prepare for Ajax game."
Meanwhile, Baxter says the return of 'Tower' and 'Yeye' is a boost for Chiefs, and Mathoho says he will be relieved to be back on the pitch, after watching his team lose against Platinum Stars recently.
"It hurt to watch the team lose against Platinum Stars," Mathoho says. "That is now water under the bridge. We are all determined to bounce back against Ajax Cape Town. We want to start the festive season on a high note and it means we have to beat them."

Now we have a bunch of fools who are distracted by the derby, to them winning on Sat is everything while at Pirates winning a treble or more is everything.
So the CV cooker must not be blamed for loosing on Sat. since he is also being destructed from cooking onother concotion of meagre & bankrupt tactics for the upcoming game.
#Anyway, coach we got your back as long as the above-mentioned man is on the transfer list in January#

This is the deference between the Champions, Pirates & wannabes, KC. Mbuyane bodly & confidently stated that the are other 14 teams, the focus is now on Chippa then KC.

What you are saying could be true Khosi but Baxter is not as good as VV when coming to mind games. The Chef is a straight talker, so he is pointing out what he has observed. This is ameaturish from the expirienced players that KC has & must be discouraged at all costs, most of the are BB players & internationals nogal.
N he said this all in Venda.
