Bloemfontein Celtic honourary lifetime president Petrus Molemela says he is very proud of his club following their Telkom Knockout Cup success, despite having not watched any of the game.
Phunya Sele Sele beat Mamelodi Sundowns 1-0 in Saturday night’s Final, but Molemela was unable to watch as he is in poor health and confined to his bed.
"I didn’t watch the game as I am ill and lying in the bed,” he tells KickOff.com. “I can’t say much for now until I am fully recovered, but I am proud of Celtic and the people of Bloemfontein for the team’s success.”
The victory was Celtic’s third cup success following the 1985 Mainstay Cup and the 2005 SAA Supa 8.
