Sundowns target Mbele?

Platinum Stars managing director Floyd Mbele has been linked to Mamelodi Sundowns.

Mamelodi Sundowns owner Patrice Motsepe could be making changes to the club's administration with rumours linking Platinum Stars managing director Floyd Mbele to Chloorkop.

This comes soon after Motsepe fired coach Johan Neeskens after Sundowns lost 1-0 against Bloemfontein Celtic in the Telkom Knockout Cup Final on Saturday.

The Brazilians are also second from bottom on the Premiership log.

The club's fans have also been very vocal in demanding that Motsepe fire both Trott Moloto and Kenneth Makhanya, who they blame for the poor performances.

Now news reaching KickOff.com is that Motsepe is targeting Mbele to bring more expertise and experience to the club in a bid to avoid relegation.

The former Orlando Pirates official is credited with turning around the fortunes of Platinum Stars this season and is now being touted as the man to help new Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane achieve success at Chloorkop.

But Mbele was coy on the rumours, telling KickOff.com: "This is not the first time I hear such news. I don’t know anything and I have not been approached by Sundowns."

Hope u coming to Jhb! So we meet. Still running? Next time I see u! U know. Be ready and be a man. If it takes 10 yrs. It's on.

some people are just talking nosense here. Chiefs hired Baxter who failed Bafana but look at chiefs now and people were happy when he was appointed, is it a white thing or what. Pirates hired Roger De Sa who never won anything with wits except nedbank cup but people where happy and look at pirates now. Lv Pitso alone, even Gordon is struggling with bafana, by the way Pitso's record with bafana was not bad compared to Gordon at the moment,

mphela and teko are gonna rule this team with an iron fist, those are pitso's boys ask any bafana playa, u can imagine how pelembe and everybody else who had beef with teko are gonna be treated, pitso is a gud and tactical premiership coach i'll give him that, but he's not a leader, has no people skills and wat sundowns needs right now is a unifier not an arrogant and egotistical individual who'll split the dressing room into camps, already it's split but eish pitso hayi khona.

I believe there are many fish in the sea Floyd no I differ I would rather go for Mr Screamer Tshabalala or even Ms Gugu Marawa. My guts are telling me that Mr Patrice is not yet ready to swallow his pride and bring Mrs A Tichklas on board as the CEO, How are about bringing the "Big Bear" Mr Lawrance Ngubane" if it fails to get Screamer Tshabalala or even Mr Zola Mahobe.

Ernest Fakude you are really bad journalist because. You people always push your own people by linking them to Sundowns. How much are you getting for doing that? That no good man and next time when you want to write something about Downs try something better and not rumours.

Pitso is what Sundowns needed rite now coz he does not take nonsense, I blve he wl do the same to Mbele as well shud he join, Nespray was neva gud for the team n was too soft. He claimed that he shud not be critised by ppl who neva played soca, yes he fooled Motsepe bt nt us. Imagine Laffor,Pelembe,Modise n Mphela under Pitso..they are going to blossom coz they wil be played accoording to their strengths..N hopefully Pitso wont have favourite players like Nespray had with those whites Sandilands, Shut, Rodgers and Daniels...
