Mayongo dismissed for 'breach of contract'

The contract of AmaZulu defender Mxolisi Mayongo has been terminated by the club.

"Mxolisi Mayongo's contract with AmaZulu has been terminated after a disciplinary hearing held at the club's offices in Durban North on Thursday found the player in breach of his playing contract," reads a statement from the club.

AmaZulu disciplinary committee chair, Lunga Sokhela, confirms that the termination of the contract is with immediate effect.

"We are not in a position to divulge the details into the expulsion as the matter can be taken to the PSL DC," says Sokhela.

Mayongo joined AmaZulu in the 2010/11 season from Durban Warriors - a feeder team of Usuthu. His contract was going to expire next at the end of June 2013.
