LA Galaxy to Cape Town?

LA Galaxy could be coming to Cape Town

Posted: 25 November 2012 Time: 1:13 pm

Ajax Cape Town could host Major League Soccer club LA Galaxy in an international club friendly on December 12.

Negotiations between Galaxy and Ajax are still in their infancy, but KickOff.com understands the American team is very keen to travel down to Cape Town.

David Beckham, whose contract with Galaxy expires at end of this year, was linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs last week, but the reports were denied by Amakhosi football manager Bobby Motaung.

Beckham has confirmed that the MLS Cup final on the first of next month against Houston Dynamo whill be his final match for the club, so he would not make the trip.

Urban Warriors CEO George Comitis confirms that there has been communication between his club and representatives of the American team.

"There has been some contact but nothing has been finalised yet," he says. "There is a great chance to play them on December 12 and definitely we would be happy to host a team of such stature if that opportunity avails itself."

I would love for AmaCOWsi to sign this guy. Hehehe I want him to feel the wrath of Matlaba, and Jele. I want Myeni, Sox, Klate, and Masuku to turn him upside down just like Pattison last night. The signing of Beckham is not football affiliated. It is just to attract sponsors, the media, and other benefits that come with signing a legend.in other words it's a business move.

I don't really know if you're serious when you're referring to the likes of Yeye and Mathoho as 'elegant'. That's a topic for another day.

I am however happy that you have raised the issue of Boa Morte. This guy was feared at one stage of his life, but when he joined the Buccaneers, he couldn't even make it to our bench. When he eventually left, he said, “Pirates players don't need a coach to win a treble. They can do it all by themselves.”

Having said that, it would be useless for the Buccaneers to wanna sign Beckham because he'll never get a starting place. It is advisable that he should join a team Zebras as there is plenty of game time guaranteed seeing that there are only cows in that sorry excuse for a PSL giant.

I highly doubt that Beckham would want to join you anyway. It's speculation. Even teams in China were mentioned in those speculations. Do you know what speculation means? I doubt that too seeing that you're getting over excited about Tortoises signing this guy.

Furthermore, we have a legend in our ranks. Bafana Bafana's all time top goal scorer, the only South African player to win the Uefa Champions League, the first South African player to score in a world cup. The player whose kwaito song still makes you dance baba. Benni and TKZee, Shibobo. COWne knows him well hehehe

I was a Buccaneer since I was a child.

The SA media has been hyping up this story that "Becks is linked to Chimps after a report from the UK Sun tabloid." Funny enough, I went and read that article and there was NOTHING of a sort from the UK tabloid or any of the overseas tabloid that suggested or hinted that Becks would join this zoo.

Guys, we all know Chimps is a media team; but only is SA so SA journalists need to explain to us WHERE THEY GET THIS RUBBISH? No wonder the ANC wanted to enforce the censorship of journalists. Sies!!!!

Who told you that the signing of Boa Morte was a failure? The main reason why Dr Khoza signed Boa Morte was so that he can attract more big names to the PSL. This is how the PSL will grow into one of the world's more recognized leagues, and big names will always draw business deals from which the PSL can benefit from. Remember, as the chairperson of the NSL, Dr Khoza must lead by example, he must be the trend setter. And he set the example by signing both Benni and Boa Morte. Hehehe the reason why you can even have a speculation about Beckham joining Tortoises is because Dr Irvin 'The Iron Duke' Khoza signed Boa Morte. The big name is now attracting more big names to CONSIDER coming to the PSL.

Now let me get to the part which is too big for you to understand. You see, as much as it's a business deal to sign these big names in world football, the idea is not to for those players to warm the bench. Sponsors and media empires want to see these players on the field. Sky Sports doesn't want to come to South Africa only to see David Beckham sitting on the bench game in and game out. Think you tortoise. That's why Luis Boa Morte had to go. We could not afford him a starting line up. But the fact that he played in our league has opened doors for more players to come here. This is what China is also doing to attract international interest to their league. They're signed Drogba, now the likes of Lampard, Rio Ferdinand, Eric Abidal, are all speculated as heading to China. The MLS did likewise. They signed Beckham and then you heard that CR7 would also like to play there later in his career. You should thank Dr Khoza for signing Boa Morte because he is the reason why you masturbate with a picture of David Backham in your face

No intuition at all at what u r saying, I'm trying to connect the dots but nothing is materialising, so Boa-Morte was a success as u r saying in plain tok, ryt? I don't reli know how u measure success at Gorrilas, bt if I were to ask Boa-Morte of the sad part of his carrer he will utmost definately mention Pierats for only kicking the ball for 2min.........

As for the ada words, I won't be reduced to ur level I'll leave that to you To even sow more and you shall reap that

Glamour I Am..... And by the way Gold its the only standard

Most, if not all, of the playas u mentioned r enjoying game time in their respective leagues and r being treated as professionals, no NEW maiden names given unlike in ada bushes, so u can't compare Boa-Morte and them, for exmpl Drogba has already scored 5 goals da, how many did ur ex Gorilla have b4 leaving? I wish u will get the contend of this argument: the signing of Boa-Morte by Pierats was a blunder, a complete failure
