Irvin Khoza has withdrawn from the race for the SA Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (Sascoc) presidency, leaving Gideon Sam unopposed for the position.
The Orlando Pirates boss, who is also Safa’s vice-president and chairman of the Premier Soccer League, will not run against Sam when the elections come around on November 24.
Khoza had also put his name in the hat for the two Sascoc vice-presidency roles, and it is still unclear whether he has remained in this race.
