There was bad news in the NFD this weekend after Polokwane City was involved in a car accident after their match against FC AK.

Polokwane City had played to a 1-1 draw with FC AK, moving up to 12th place after five matches.

Cape sides struggled this round – apart from Santos, who won their match against Roses United with a single goal from Edwin Sitayitayi.

The win keeps Santos in eighth place with nine points while Roses remain third from bottom.

Mpumalanga Black Aces beat Milano United 3-2 away from home. The loss drops Milano to sixth, equal on points with Santos, while Aces extend their lead on top by two points.

Christopher Makhoba and Sifiso Hlanti helped Thanda Royal Zulu to a 2-0 win over Vasco da Gama at Parow Park. Thanda are third on the log on 13 points.

Blackburn Rovers and African Warriors played to a 1-1 draw at Buffalo City Stadium. Rovers, who have struggled this season, move to 14th place with four points while Warriors lose a bit of ground on log leaders Aces.

Witbank Spurs came from behind to beat FC Cape Town in five-goal thriller. Spurs won 3-2 to move to eight points and Cape Town remain on five.

The game between Jomo Cosmos and Sivutsa Stars was called off because of heavy rain and a bad pitch.

Which one is which between cosmos and stars? Is it heavy rain or bad pitch. Or is t the rain that led to the bad pitch?
