NSL new executive members, Irvin Khoza remains PSL chairman

Posted: 8 November 2012 Time: 5:08 pm

Irvin Khoza is staying on as PSL chairman after he was elected unopposed for a fifth term this afternoon at its quadrennial elections held at Gold Reef City.

A seven-member National Soccer League (NSL) Executive Committee also got the nod from the 31 Premier Soccer League and National First Division clubs that took part in the voting process. Vasco da Gama failed to come forward to cast their vote.

The seven members who will serve in the newly assembled Committee are Kaizer Motaung, Mike Mokoena, Daniel Simelane, John Comitis, Mato Madlala, Stanley Matthews and David Thidiela.

The 'Iron Duke' was delighted after he was elected unopposed.

"I appreciate the vote of confidence ... we must make sure this organisation remains strong and relevant in the market space," he says.

Oh I forgot, now is the time to delegate some of the duties to your subbordinates like Kaizer Senior so you will have full control of your team.

Well said Bucs, I for one, have things to show that I benefitted from this man. Love him or hate him he is one of the unsung heroes of South Africa. It shows that you can't keep the good man down. People will wait until he passes on then start praising him. Bucs since 1937

Conrats to COWza for retaining the position. He has done a lot for our football need to be applauded......his only problem is when he start to intimidate referees. Long Live.....

Not to pepper the celebratory moment Champs... during Chairmanship of LOC The Dream Team suffered & The Ghost was at the depth of despair... I'm concerned about the nomination of The Chairman for the president of SASCOC... this will further divide his attention...

it's only natural that all sporting federations have faith in our Chairman but I hope this won't be to the detriment of The Dream Team - as it is the domestic treble dream is gone...

Khosi lami , 7 cases will be dismissed due to lack of evidence , and also the presence of Iron Duke during those disciplinary process. The other case will be found guilty and get a slap on the wrist e.g R25 000 fine . The verdict will be coming from Dr Irvin Sokhela, he'll be the chairman,an investigator, a defence team,a witness and also a victim as well....

Eish...stop comparing Khoza to Kaizer Motaung Snr! The two are incomparable, what Kaizer achieved as an adminitrator it will take Double the life time of Irvin furthermore Irvin never played football at highest level let alone to form a biggest and succesful brand like Kaizer Chiefs FC in the Southern hemisphere of the African continent.

I repeat, he's done more than any of his predecessors, if not all of them combined, that is why all the soccer bosses cannot afford to lose him, their pockets are lined up more because of the Duke's hard work. Love him or hate him the guy has done wonders for SA soccer.
