Mpumalanga Black Aces continued with their good start to the season, beating a 10-man Roses United 2-1 at Themba Senamela Stadium.
Roses scored first, through Lerato Lamola, but a reckless challenge from Lebogang Shomolekae saw Roses reduced to 10 men.
Dennis Masina pulled Aces back into the game, before Thabang Rooi scored the winner.
Aces move to 10 points on the log, while Roses are still seeking their first point of the season after two games.
A single goal from Mpho Erasmus made sure that FC Cape Town collected maximum points at home against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday afternoon.
Cape Town move to five points and Rovers stay on one.
Thanda Royal Zulu were victorious against Witbank Spurs at Richards Bay Sports Stadium. Lunga Zondi and Nkosinathi Mthiyane scored for the home side, who move to seven points, while Spurs remain on one.
Vasco da Gama bounced back from their midweek loss to Milano United with a hard fought win over Jomo Cosmos at Parow Park.
Vasco won 1-0, with Robbie Santos scoring the only goal. Vasco now move to six points and Cosmos remain on five.
United FC and Santos played to a 1-1 draw at Moreleng Stadium.
United took the lead in the 25th minute, before Tyren Arendse scored from the penalty spot to equalise for the Cape side. United move to four points and Santos go to five.
At Makhulong Stadium, FC AK and African Warriors played to a 1-1 draw. FC AK now have five points while Warriors move to eight.
Sivutsa Stars beat Polokwane FC 3-1 at Kanyamazane Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Stars have moved to nine points on the table, while this was Polokwane's first game of the season.
Dynamos got a late goal to bag a point against Milano FC. Shamiel Philander put Milano ahead in the 15 minute, but the Cape side allowed Dynamos to pull one back in the 93 minute through Tshepo Mabitsela.
