Vincent Enyeama and John Mikel Obi assure fans on Nigeria's chances against Liberia in Saturday's game.

Super Eagles midfielder Obi has assured fans that Nigeria will comprehensively overcome Liberia in their upcoming Nations Cup qualifying match on Saturday.

The Chelsea midfielder who arrived at the Super Eagles camp on Wednesday told newsmen that he was confident Nigeria will 'beat Liberia silly'.

While citing that he was not in any way looking down on his opponents, he stressed that the team spirit among the players currently in the Super Eagles camp was high and that coupled with their determination to ensure that Nigeria qualifies for next years' continental showpiece; the Lones Stars stand no chance of creating an upset in the game.

"I am here for the game and I am ready to do battle against Liberia. I am in good shape and form now; I will do my best to see that we beat Liberia. It is a battle we have to win, we know what is at stake and we are not taking it easy with them," he concluded.

Vincent Enyeama who will stand in as captain in the absence of injured skipper Joseph Yobo however adopted a more cautionary measure by warning his teammates not expect to stroll past their opponents easily.

"The Liberians have a good squad and they will fight with the last drop of their blood on Saturday. We will also fight until we get our objective that is the game of football," Enyeama said.

He further urged Nigerians to continue give their support to the National team through prayers.

Nigeria are desperate to qualify for the Nations Cup having failed to appear in last years' edition of the tournament. Nigeria held Liberia to a 2-2 draw in the first leg at Monrovia, and will be hoping to see off their opponents in Calabar this weekend.

Nigeria will over power Liberia in Calabar. Expect the Super Eagles in South Africa. If Keshi plays 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1, we will beat the Lone Star by 4-1. Mikel will even score, watch out. Slyman

Im not so sure about the margin/score of 4-1 Anonymous. You know Nigeria is in a process of rebuilding so therefore having high expectations so soon is not being realistic. Having said all of that, I am looking forward and I am adamant we will see the Super-Chickens of Nigeria in SA next year.

Keshi pls drop Enyeama for once and try Ejide. He is tall and his anticipation is better than that of Enyeama. Enyeama is always overzealous and not calm between the sticks.

It makes him concede cheap goals. I don't know what Ike Shorunmi is doing there. He can not understand this little details. After all he was not such a brilliant goalkeeper during his days.

For this game, we should forget about 4-4-2. We played that in Monrovia, it helps us score goals easily but it also leads to allowing goals towards the end of the game because of fatigue. Liberia needs to score to qualify, so they must atack. We should be wiser play the classic CHELSEA or Jose Mourinho formation and hit them on the break. We need a strong defense and solid midfield and quick wingers and deadly strikers. I see the Eagles dominating and getting a convincing win, but not 4- 0, It will be 4- 1 or 3- 0.

Welcome to the classic Chelsea 4-2-3-1 CECH = ENYEAMA
IVANOVICH= OBOABONA
COLE= ECHIEJILE
TERRY= AMBROSE
LUIZ= EGWUEKE

MIKEL= MIKEL
LAMPARD= JOEL OBI

HAZARD= IKE UCHE
MATA = IGIEBOR
OSCAR/MOSES= MOSES

TORRES= EMENIKE/IDEYE
Goodluck to Super EAGLES

Goof to see that Mikel is in camp and he is giving his best in training. You can never dispute the fact that Mikel gives his best based on the role he is asked to play though I believe he is not attaining his full potential at Chelski ( he could have been a lot better at an attacking team like Arsenal)
I believe SE will beat Liberia by 4 - 1 with goals from Ideye (2) , Mikel and Emenike.

Just to add that Mikel's lack of goals at Chelski is due to the role he is asked to play by past and present managers of the club.

Only in Nigeria you will hear a team bosting about beating another team before the match is played. Only in Nigeria you hear players coaches asking for prayers to beat a team. First of all, dont you think the other team prays too? If all it takes is prayers we should just use priest and pastors to prosecute all our matches.
You never hear Brazil,Germany, Argentina, Italy praying for a match win nor boasting about beating a team before the match is played and they have all won multiple world cup. Nigeria cant even qualify for continental tournaments. Humility and hard work is what is needed and not prayers and arrogance.
