Maritzburg unbeaten going into Wits match

Maritzburg extended their unbeaten run to five matches when they drew 2-2 away to Black Leopards on Tuesday, and will go in search of their second home win, after a 2-0 victory over AmaZulu and a 1-1 draw with Free State Stars in their two previous home matches.

The Team of Choice are third on the log, with nine points from five matches.

Wits suffered their first home defeat of the season in their last match, going down 3-1 to log leaders Kaizer Chiefs.

They have yet to win on the road this season, having recorded a 2-0 loss at Free State Stars and a 1-1 draw at Chippa United, and are 12th on the log with five points from as many matches.

In head-to-head stats, Maritzburg and Wits have met in 10 League matches since 2006/07. Six matches have ended in draws, while each side has two wins.

Maritzburg are unbeaten at home to Wits, having recorded one win and four draws from five matches in KwaZulu-Natal.
