Warriors call up seven PSL players

Zimbabwe call up seven South Africa based stars

Posted: 27 September 2012 Time: 09:37 am

Zimbabwe have shown how important their final 2013 African Nations Cup qualifier against Angola is by naming seven South Africa-based players, including Orlando Pirates striker Takesure Chinyama and Ajax Cape Town attacking midfielder Khama Billiat.

The Warriors go into the return leg to be played on October 14 in Luanda carrying a 3-1 lead and aware of how much it will mean for them to qualify for the tournament in South Africa, where they are guaranteed of massive support.

The other PSL stars called up are AmaZulu defender Carlington Nyadombo, veteran midfielders Esrom Nyandoro and Tinashe Nengomasha, Oscar Machapa and Brian Abbas Amidu of Black Leopards.

The former Kaizer Chiefs duo of Knowledge Musona and Onismor Bhasera have also been included in the squad of 24.

Nengomasha and Musona missed the first leg early this month after ZIFA allegedly failed to send the letter of invitations to the two players’ respective clubs in time, forcing the duo to remain holed up at their club bases during that FIFA calendar weekend.

SQUAD
Goalkeepers: Marlon Jani, George Chigova, Ariel Sibanda, Maxwell Nyamupangedengu
Defenders: Onismor Bhasera, Esrom Nyandoro, Innocent Mapuranga, Patson Jaure, Arnold Chaka, Carlington Nyadombo, Noel Kaseke
Midfielders: Tinashe Nengomasha, Khama Billiat, Vusa Nyoni, Prosper Matizanadzo, Brian Abbas Amidu, Oscar Machapa, Archieford Gutu, Denver Mukamba

Masimba is translated 'Amandla' l dont see where some people due to difference in language would take this platform to make fun of this name. Musona is Zim's talisman hence his pic here, we have seen pics of the Tshabalala's when Bafana Bafana is playing. And why is Teammate calling Zimbo's idiots, clearly some people have lost it.
