Van Heerden training with Lierse

KickOff.com can confirm that former Bafana Bafana international Elrio van Heerden is currently training with Belgian side Lierse with the hope of winning a contract.

Lierse CEO Jesse De Preter is on record saying the team intends signing Van Heerden, who last played for Golden Arrows.

The 29-year-old previously played in Belgium for Club Brugge and Westerlo.

If signed, he will join two South Africans at Lierse in Daylon Claasen and Lance Davids.
