Moroka Swallows captain Lefa Tsutsulupa says his side will prove doubters that they are up for the challenge this season, starting with the MTN8 on Saturday.

The Dube Birds face SuperSport United in the Final at Orlando Stadium on Saturday.

"I think as a team it's important to start winning cups. We as players want to make our own history because people tend to compare us with the old generations.

"Also, it is very important to show people that last year was not a fluke," Tsutsulupa says.

The last time Swallows won a trophy was in 2009, when they won the Nedbank Cup. Last season they came close to winning the Premiership title, but just lost out to Orlando Pirates.

"We are a team capable of challenging for honours and we take this game very seriously – we are desperate to win the trophy," the Birds skipper warns.

Jst go for it Lefa without any desparation u deserve it guys and i wish u would out-play Madzantsantsa aPitoli at least you are immune for some silver wear with the hard work u have displayed in the past 2 season.....not taking anything from the SSS are graet team with a maverlous mentor but they had Nedbank Cup now its time for Swai-swia.....these things have to rotate pple we all derserve to win but unfortunately we cant win all the time and uma udliwe jst admit it and swallow your pride and give credit where its due

I believe this will b a nice game with no Fire crackers or Missiles behing Rowen's goals. The gorillas will be boozing Carling black label beer Zamalek all over the townships.
