Former Platinum Stars coach Owen da Gama, who has been linked with a possible move to AmaZulu, says he is prepared to consider reasonable offers from clubs intending to engage his services.

The coach – who together with Craig Rosslee and Ian Gorowa is being tipped to succeed Roger Palmgren at AmaZulu – says he is humbled by reports linking him to Usuthu.

"To be honest with you I have not been approached by AmaZulu," Da Gama tells KickOff.com.

"It is always encouraging when your name is mentioned with a club such as AmaZulu because it shows that there are people who appreciate what you are doing in football," adds Da Gama.

"I am prepared to consider an offer that is reasonable but this can only happen if I am approached.

"There are two clubs that I have talked to but the offers they put in were not reasonable at all so I decided not to sign," Da Gama says.

Da Gama, who played for Moroka Swallows during his heyday, has also had coaching stints at Orlando Pirates, Bloemfontein Celtic and Free State Stars.

His is currently unattached since he left Platinum Stars before the end of last season.

Good way to market yourself, Roger Palmgreen is still in charge, so why would they approach you if they haven't even fired their current coach?

Mr ODG,
I guess you have approach Amazulu with a comprehensive plan on how you intent to rescue the team in the current situation without alienating the head coach. In that case, it would mean you are prepared to work with him in any capacity for the success of Usuthu. Sometimes, when the mountain does not come to you, you approach the mountain. Good luck.

I read the article, the subject's quotes are clear, however, I'm disturbed by your abysmal writing skills. On your title you use the word . . . ''YET''. . . You change the situation completely. You imply that the subject(coach) will be approached by the said team, BUT, it hazn't happened, but it iz SURE to happen !! Very poor writing, amateurish, abysmal and distorts the whole story. There iz no obligation for the said team to approach this specific coach.

Well said @dumisk01.....who is he to be 'approached'?...does the value of MADIDA recognised here?..even PALMGREN is still under contract there, why do fellow coaches always willing to replace current coaches behind their backs even contacting club bosses to be hired?..this is pure unprofessionalism and unethical
