Nomvete expected back for Cup Final

Moroka Swallows striker Siyabonga Nomvete is expected to be ready for the MTN8 Final

Posted: 17 September 2012 Time: 08:51 pm

Siyabonga Nomvete is expected to be ready for action when Moroka Swallows face SuperSport United in the MTN8 Cup Final at Orlando Stadium on Saturday evening.

Nomvete missed Friday night's League game against University of Pretoria due to an injured toe.

However, 'Bhele' was back training with the rest of his teammates on Monday.

"He is responding well to treatment. It's promising as he trained with the rest of the team on Monday. He should be ready by Friday," says coach Zeca Marques.

Meanwhile, Marques tells KickOff.com that the decision whether or not to sign Dikgang Mabalane and Lizo Mjempu will be taken next week.

Speculation has been rife that Swallows were intending to sign the duo in time for the MTN8 Final.

"Both players are still training with the team. Our focus now is on the Cup Final against SuperSport United.

"We will make a decision about the players next week," adds Marques.
