De Sa: I'm up for the challenge

Orlando Pirates coach Roger de Sa says he is aware of the expectations that lie ahead

New Orlando Pirates coach Roger de Sa says he is aware of the expectations that lie ahead and he is up for the challenge.

De Sa was unveiled as the new Pirates coach replacing Augusto Palacios who is out due to 'health problems’.

De Sa promised that he will do his best to see that the club gets back to its winning ways.

"It really is a great honour to be here. An opportunity like this comes once in a career. And I will hopefully grab the opportunity with both hands," says De Sa.

"I know it is a hell of a challenge no doubt about it. Pirates won back to back trebles and everybody is expecting the same again.

"But I think I'm ready for it. I have had a good rest," he adds.

De Sa was also given the freedom to choose his own assistant, but says he won’t rush into it as he will see what he has to work with first.

Sangoma Toothless has done a big mistake by appointing this hobbo-madala, I have a soft spot for these oprhans especially during their cying days when we tell them sh^t left right and center. Sometimes I enjoy when they noise abt the Freeble, like hobbos making noise after receiving the food parcel.

Let the games begin Mr De Sa! Taking over the hottest seat in PSL? l wish you nothing but the very best as you have proven yourself with a modest team in the form of Wits and like you said in your press conference. The expectations are very very high as the bar has been set on double treble.
Good luck

None of the Orlando Pirates bloggers here saw this one coming.....They are only excepting Roger's appointment because they don't have a choice..The colonel has made his decision.....I never heard anyone from the Gorilla family mention Roger's name when they were busy calling for Njenje to be fired.....all we heard was Krol and Craig Rosless, now these hypocrites are celebrating the appointment of Roger...

1.What has Roger won except the Nedbank Cup 2011 in his career as a coach?
2.Was he not the same coach who relagated Wits to Mvela some years ago?
3.Was Wits not relegation candidate last season?
4.Did Roger not fail at Santos?
5.Was he not fired from his previous job?

Now they are busy..."ROGER THIS ROGER THAT"

I am still Loving Peace and Glamorous since 1970........I am The Phefeni Boy.

The is no coach here........He wont succeed....Roger is a failure.

Gucci Man! You speak of rotten English??? Please brother, you need to watch your English first before you can call yourself an expert in the Queen's laguage. If l where to mark your grammer l will have to send you back to school. lts amazing how some pple are so quick to jump at making conlusions and burying our coach before he has even taken a first training session. Dont be shallow in your pathetic writing and instead concentrate on your team. In simple layman's language, l say "back off">
