KickOff.com revealed on Friday that the 20-year-old defender was on his way to Europe, but now The Brazilians have revealed that the player has still not left Chloorkop – with the Russians seemingly in the wrong.
"Sundowns said that on Thursday night negotiations were finalised and a contract containing details of the deal was sent to Rostov," a statement read on Sundowns' website.
"Xulu, in the meantime, had been advised of developments and set about getting his travel papers ready on Friday. However, late Friday, the Russians sent back a contract containing new clauses which were not part of the agreement.
"Sundowns then advised them that the only valid agreement was the one containing details agreed upon on Thursday night. On Saturday, further discussions were held, and the deal was agreed upon once more. But again, they sent through a changed agreement. Sundowns advised them that until they sign the agreement discussed, there would be no deal."
