Rantie wishes Bafana all the best

Malmo's Tokelo Rantie not concerned about being left out of the Bafana squad to face Brazil

Posted: 29 August 2012 Time: 04:23 pm

Tokelo Rantie says he is not disturbed by Gordon Igesund's decision to leave him out of the Bafana Bafana squad to play Brazil next week.

Don't miss

The 21-year-old striker is currently enjoying a rich run of form in Sweden for his new club Malmo FF, and has scored four goals in two matches.

Despite this, Rantie has reportedly been left out of the national team to play the Seleção in an international friendly in Sao Paolo next weekend.

But instead of complaining about missing a call-up, the former Orlando Pirates striker says he will continue working hard as he is determined to earn his place before the next Bafana Bafana match.

"As for the reason why I'm not in the team I think it will be best if you ask the coach himself," he tells KickOff.com, "but to be honest with you I'm not worried nor surprised. I just have to improve my game and hopefully for the next camp I will get selected.

"I wish the team all the best with the two games against Brazil and Mozambique ... I am behind them all the way."

In the meantime, the Free State-born striker says he is focusing on helping Malmo win the Swedish League. The club has 10 matches left to play.

"Winning the League, that's our main objective, and I think if we focus on our own game we will make it," he says.

I think the coach left out because he knows that you will be selected for official matches. In the meantime he is trying to test more players who will partner Rantie in the next official game.

Has the squad been announced now? If the answer is no, how on earth Rantie knows that he is not in the squad. Mr Igesund you might as well announce your squad otherwise we'll be getting one by one.

Gordon should start building now and players like Rantie should be the backbone of the foundation. Tommorow i don't expect to see Mphela, Khuboni, Shaba, Khune, KG, Gaxa, Gould, Masilela, and Teko. These guys have failed us and now we need fresh ideas.

I expect this tommorow;

Chabangu
Jali
Myeni
Serero
Schillo
Rantie
May
Dino
Josephs
Bennie
Klate
Viera
Maluleka
Kekana
Sangweni

Lets wait and see, i am interested to see if Gordon will be intimidated by the media to select Kaizer chimpanzee useless players. Parker is a test. He score less than 4 games the whole season lasy season. he scored 4 goals against Amazulu and nothing the next game. We know he wont score again for a season. Majolo also scored 4 against Leopards and he was hailed as the best thing to emerge from the farm. we all know he fumbled the next few games club and nationally and found himself in the bench and the history we know, both VV and Pitso were sacked for selecting these cows.
