ABS FC team manager explains why his team came all out guns blazing against Sunshine Stars

The team manager of ABS FC explains to the media why his team came all out guns blazing against Sunshine Stars in their rescheduled Nigeria Premier League game.

ABS FC who have been described as the most entertaining team in the Nigeria Premier League, defeated Sunshine Stars by 4-1 in a rescheduled game played on Thursday at the Ilorin Township Stadium through goals a 4th minute goal scored by Bashir Abdulrahman in the first-half, and additional goals scored by holding midfielder Lordson Ichull and Abdullah Ibrahim in the second half.

While Precious Osasco scored an equaliser in the first half which turned out to be the a consolatory goal for Sunshine Stars.

Tension had become high going into the game, after the Organising and Disciplinary committee as well as the Appeals committee reversed the walkover which had been performed in favour of ABS FC after Sunshine Stars failed to show up for the game, by ordering that the game be replayed.

This according to the Team Manager of ABS FC, Alloy Chukwuemeka, was the height of injustice. But insisted that his team decided to accept the decision and replay the game in the interest of Nigerian football.

He further stressed that his team saw the game against Sunshine Stars as a 'grudge match', hence their resolve to humiliate the visitors by an embarrassing score line.

As a reward for their efforts, the club owner Dr Bukola Saraki is said to have rewarded the players with an additional bonus.

If this was a grudge match and you feel ABS is that good, why are you dredging in the relegation zone? So huge, but just too late.
