Teko concerned by first leg result

Mamelodi Sundowns skipper Teko Modise concedes his charges will have a mountain to climb

Mamelodi Sundowns skipper Teko Modise concedes his charges will have a mountain to climb in the MTN8 semi-finals second leg clash with Moroka Swallows on Sunday afternoon.

The Brazilians will travel to Soweto to face the Dube Birds and although Modise has been talking up his team’s chances, he did admit that conceding three goals in the first leg means Sundowns will have difficulty disposing of their opponents at the Dobsonville Stadium.

"It is a worry that we conceded so many goals at home, but we know what to do… Hopefully our plan will work on Sunday," he says pensively.

Modise, though, says Sundowns have enough quality players at their disposal to walk off winners on the day.

"They (Swallows) have the pressure because every goal we score, they must come back. We have quality players, but we must work hard and grind out a result on Sunday. I just hope we will do well.

"We want to try to score first and hopefully we can get a good result," Modise concludes.

As long as this Tekolotsi is playing for Sandunusa they'll neva win anything unless the Swaziland Cup, ask the Gorillas or Sion Fc they'll tell you.

Guys let's just score 3 goals and see how they respond to that! I hope Neeskens won't try and surprise swallows with silly selections like nyandoro @ the back or moriri. We need sandi, daniels, mabaso, arendse, punch, langermann, laffor, teko, sangweni, kekana and manqele. And you sundowns players need medicine for your sickness of conceding goals in quick succession. Ke bolwetse dai ding

You should be, your performance as a captain is disappointing. You should not be in the starting eleven on Sunday unless your role of supporting the strikers is changed You fail to launch and coordinate the attacks. Against Chiefs I can only remember two occasions where you did what you should be doing, the first led to your long range shot and the second to Pelembe's cross which you poorly passed to the keeper whilst there Tebogo was well positioned on your left. Aganst Swallows you were just a number. As a supporter I'm not worried about Swallows, they are going to get a hiding, I'm worried about your performance.
