Mashego completes Swallows move

Former Orlando Pirates striker Katlego Mashego has signed with Moroka Swallows.

Former Orlando Pirates striker Katlego Mashego has finally signed with Moroka Swallows.

Mashego, who played for Golden Arrows last season, has signed a two-year contract with the Dube Birds.

Speaking to KickOff.com, the striker says he is excited that he will finally play football again after spending time on the sidelines.

"I am very excited to have finally signed with Moroka Swallows. They are one of the big teams with a great history in the country and hopefully I will contribute a lot to help the club achieve success this season," says 'Mahoota'.

"I am happy about the reception I got from both the players and technical team. I know some of the players from the national team which has helped me settle down very well.

"I just want to work hard and fit into the style of the team and then we will take it from there," he adds.

Eish Ama Swai Swai already preparing to meet the Champs in the final of the MTN 8. YOH-ITS SO NICE TO MEET YOUR REJECTS IN THE FINAL!! Makhanya, Chenene, Mashego, Nomvete, all went past theeir peak at Pirates and we let them go. What makes it a cherry on TOP is to see Kaizer Chiefs supporters cheering for this players thinking there is something that they can do to stop us-ive seen them when we beat Arrows (our desert) cheering for Mbesuma, Nkosi or even Mashego when he scored that free-kick,,,,,they forget that we leet them go because they were over the hill to us, we've got far more better players now and forever,,,,,!!!! The Bucs rule this decade!!!

Congrets to the Birds for securing Mahhoter into the Nest. Pity Swallows is still lacking in quality. I hope they could sign Clifort Ngobeni and also Sthembiso Ncobo atleast on a loan.
