Amakhosi psyched for revenge

Tiyani wa ka Mabasa's Premiership predictions

Posted: 21 August 2012 Time: 05:16 pm

Kaizer Chiefs may have lost 4-1 to Mamelodi Sundowns in the MTN8 a couple of weeks ago, but Amakhosi are capable of turning the tables on the Brazilians according to KickOff.com's Tiyani wa ka Mabasa in his midweek predictions.

The Premiership fixtures resume on Tuesday night, with the KZN Derby at Harry Gwala Stadium just one of many intriguing fixtures.

Tuesday

Maritzburg United vs AmaZulu

The two League clashes between this two sides ended in draws last season and I don't think this season will be an exception. On paper, both teams are matched in all departments.

Prediction: Draw

Chippa United vs Free State Stars

The Play-Offs were in some way a hindrance to Chippa's plans, because they had little time to put together a competitive team. Now some of their foreign players are still awaiting work permits, so they aren't at full strength. However, they are playing at home and they may get a point at least.

Prediction: Draw

Wednesday

Golden Arrows vs University of Pretoria

I don't think Tuks have made astute signings if you consider the fact that some of their new men weren't regulars at their previous clubs, so they may take time to get going. Arrows, on the other hand, didn't look bad when they lost 2-1 to Orlando Pirates in their first League match and playing at home gives them an edge over the newcomers.

Prediction: Arrows win

SuperSport United vs Orlando Pirates

This will be another tight affair with the teams set to play each other for the third time in a row on Saturday in the second leg of the MTN8 semi-finals. So with that in mind, you could well expect the two teams to tread carefully for fear of suspensions and injuries ahead of the big clash on the weekend.

Prediction: Draw

Kaizer Chiefs vs Mamelodi Sundowns

No-one will forget the 4-1 drubbing in a hurry, but I think Sundowns are facing a resurgent Chiefs side. Chiefs are capable of beating Sundowns this time around.

Prediction: Chiefs win

Moroka Swallows vs Ajax Cape Town

The truth is Ajax are not good travelers, especially to Gauteng ... Ajax only beat one Gauteng team – Mamelodi Sundowns – away from home last season and Swallows rarely lose in their own backyard.

Prediction: Swallows win

Bloemfontein Celtic vs Platinum Stars

Celtic have already lost two matches this season – one in the MTN8 and the other in the League, but they really are a difficult side to beat at home. They lost two League matches at home last season and the first was against Platinum Stars, but this is Celtic's opportunity to redeem themselves after faltering in their two matches this season.

Prediction: Celtic win

Bidvest Wits vs Black Leopards

Wits have obviously bolstered their squad with some big games, but Leopards aren't weak opposition especially in comparison to last season. I think Wits are still trying to find a winning combination, while Leopards can claim to have maintained some continuity. I expect a stalemate.

Prediction: Draw

we will see tomorrow. Sundowns has been labelled "a weak team that luckily beat Chiefs" by almost every media powerhouse since this morning.
So Mr.Motsepe's troops will have to show that what they did two weeks back was in fact not an accident.
Well as for Pirates they have predicted a draw so we will only see what happens tomorrow.

Tiyani wa ka Mabasa you high?...! Your analysis is poor for someone who has been in the bznz for a long time. Thieves haven't played any game since the 6-0 win over a poor team so, in a way they haven't tested their defense, midfield and strike force against a stronger opposition. They THINK they have turned the tables by that win yet not...Sundowns on the other hand had a chance of getting things right against a stronger opponents in Swallows ergo they know exactly where to tighten up and improve going forward. Obviously Zebras will want revenge, but they will do that with caution of not wanting to suffer another humiliation against the same team hence the careful approach...I expect a draw!!! With Sundowns domination position as they always do...WENA MABASA DON'T BRING YOUR POINT BASED ON YOUR LOVE FOR THUGS FC...ILLUMINATI CONTROLLED MEDIA!!!

Predictions are opinionated you can have yours too. Tiyani made his how about you make yours? Not everyone will ever predict a loose for their beloved team. I predict a draw tomorrow for SSport and the other unknown team SSport going on to qualify for MTN8 final and the referee being chased by players after the final whistle.

Tomorrow is just near. Mmemolodi Sunclowns should embrace themselves.

We can't apologize for others low self esteem.

Khona, you predict Chiefs will win tomorrow's game based on "Chiefs are capable of beating Sundowns this time around"! Wena Tiyani, where is game/club analysis as you did on other games? We all know BOTH teams are capables of beating each other any day any time anywhere! Your analysis should base on previous games, recent form, away wins vs home wins for both teams etc,...not lekaka usexelela yona! You just hoping that Chiefs win qha
