Siyabonga Nomvete and Benedict Vilakazi were both crowned Danish champions on Thursday night although without playing in the title winning match for their club AB Aalborg.

A 2-0 home win over Brondby ensured an unassailable seven point gap over FC Copenhagen at the head of the standings for Aalborg, with just two matches left to play this season.

Nomvete, who was injured last month, missed out on the game while Vilakazi, who has finally, being seeing some game time for the side, sat on the bench but was not used in the match.

Both goals came in a three minute spell just before half-tie in front of a season-record crowd of some 13,000.

Aalborg now qualify to play in the UEFA Champions League next season. It was their first title since 1999. The club held massive celebrations after the game and then went on a bus trip around the city as locals spilt out onto the street.

Nomvete has scored six goals in 18 starts this season and made a further seven appearances as a substitute in league games.

Vilakazi has just three appearances as a sub all season, having failed to convince the Danes of his talent.

It is the second Scandinavian league title for Nomvete, who won with Swedish club Djurgarden after he just joined them just before the finish of the 2005 season.

Vilakazi should come back home to re-energize his soccer career. Coming on a sub the whole season is not good at all for a player like him.

We are also wining Mos!!! In terms of Tso comming back, i dont think Dr, Irvin will agree to better the salary that He's getting at his current club. The problem with Pirates is not in Middlefield, so If Tso comes back is not like things will change immediately. I also hope that Tso is a Champion that he is and stay there and compete. If the team is capable of winning league honours, it simply means they have a good swuad, so Tso must prove himself amongst the best and ply his trade in surroundings that will benefit his future. Next season is Champions League time for Tso, so that must also act as motivation on its own...

I agree with u Sifiso. Who would give up the chance of playing in the Champions League to come back to the domestic league? He jus' needs 2 work hard, that's all. Sifiso: I think you are not making a rite say here! Vilakaz should comeback home. He is not playing. His team could be playing in the champion’s league. But they have to qualify first! So Vilkazi is not contributing anything to that team! Thank you!
