Moleko happy with debut

Kgotso Moleko hopes to have proven his critics wrong with his debut performance for Kaizer Chiefs

Kgotso Moleko says he hopes to have proven his critics wrong with his debut performance for Kaizer Chiefs over the past weekend.

The 22-year-old defender, who joined from Bloemfontein Celtic during the off-season, deputised for the injured Siboniso Gaxa in the opening League game against AmaZulu, and did not put a foot wrong as Amakhosi ran out 6-0 winners.

Moleko says running out at the Moses Mabhida Stadium as a Chiefs player was the fulfillment of a life-long dream.

“It was a big moment for me making my official debut for Kaizer Chiefs. I have been dreaming about this moment since I was a child – playing for a big club in front of a packed stadium,” he tells the club’s official website.

“The coach told me before the game to do what I know best and try to keep it simple. I was happy with my first touch, even though I was nervous in the opening minutes. I told myself that I can do more and I started joining the attack as well.”

“The game was tough for us. There was lot of expectation following the two defeats against Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns. We were all delighted by the win, but it all ends there as we have to prepare for the next game.”

Moleko will be hoping for more action when Chiefs tackle Sundowns in a League game next weekend.

I declare Satturday the 18th of August a public Holiday for the Chimpanzees, you played very hard and scored 6 goals in one match. you therefore need to have some time off and Watch the Kings not the Chiefs playing. We want to make justice for you from the humiliation you received two weeks ago. So sit back and continue celebrating the 4-1 score. I mean the 6-0 score

Even my granny would have been happy to play with lousy Amazulu, there is no team in this Durban outfit but a floating spear & shield.

This stupid player calls a practice match a "big moment & a dream", no wonder KC won the league after 1 game.

She says "she did not put her foot wrong". What did she expect from Dlamini & company, they are useless & do not deserve to represent the city of Durban.

"“The coach told me before the game to do what I know best and try to keep it simple"

What did the Frauster tell you, fake a cv? We want facts not fart. What do you do best really?

"I was happy with my first touch, even though I was nervous in the opening minutes"

I would have also been happy with mine too. Khune rolled the ball to you with no one to challange you within a 20 m radius.

“The game was tough for us..."

Really? Playing a none-existant team that has been in the ICU since the days of Mlaba is not difficult but a guaranteed 3 points or a league in KC standards. That is why you get the THREES in twentyTHREE minutes, khosi FOUR 1.

I told one Ape yesterday that "it is not our fault" that people grew up supporting a BIG glamorous club... he was bitter, as are all of apes, that why most people support this team... apes in the zoo will always be bitter and jealous of human beings as if we are the ones who slowed down their evolution!
