AmaZulu apologise to fans

Tapuwa Kapini says sorry to AmaZulu fans after Kaizer Chiefs rout

AmaZulu captain Tapuwa Kapini has apologised to the team’s fans following their embarrassing defeat at the hands of Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday.

Usuthu were beaten 6-0 at the Moses Mabhida Stadium by a ruthless Amakhosi outfit, with Bernard Parker scoring four goals.

Speaking to KickOff.com, Kapini says the players let themselves and their fans down.

“It wasn’t such bad performance; we just conceded easy goals,” he says. “Sometimes you can play well but not score goals, or sometimes play well and concede goals.

“I think we let ourselves down as a team. After conceding the first goal we didn’t motivate ourselves; we let our heads drop. I think Chiefs capitalised on that to score the six goals.”

The Zimbabwean international promised AmaZulu’s fans that they will bounce back immediately, starting with their game against Maritzburg United next week.

“It was an embarrassing defeat and we want to apologise to our fans. We just have to keep our heads high and try to bounce back in our next game,” Kapini says.

I saw it coming........no one can apologise to the fans after losing to Orlando Pirates, either 1-0, 6-0, 24-0....they know we are a big team.
I still think Amazulu needs to make a detail rich official apology to their fans for losing to a confused FOUR NATIONS team.

Mr Tapuwa Kapini I don't think you deserve forgiveness from your fans. You are apologising while telling them lies, which easy goals are you referring to? As a goalkeeper you should have done better if they were easy. Those were world class goals, not many goalkeepers in this world would have done better on those goals. Tell them that you were well beaten, the only thing your fans can thank you for is only that you blocked some otherwise it would've been 10.
