Chippa United coach Manqoba Mngqithi says his team are ready for their official debut in the Premiership, when they take on Mamelodi Sundowns at Lucas Moripe Stadium tomorrow.

The Chilli Boys have already sent out a warning to the Premiership big guns that they are not there to add numbers but to win trophies, with the League championship being their main target this season.

Mngqithi tells KickOff.com he is looking forward to Chippa's first game in the top flight.

"So far so good," the coach says. "I have been impressed so far with our preparations for the new season. I believe we are in for an exciting game against Sundowns with the quality that we have in the team."

The former AmaZulu coach says he is not fazed by the prospect of facing the Brazilians in his first match in the hot-seat for Chippa, despite the fact that the high-flying Sundowns beat Kaizer Chiefs 4-1 in the MTN8 last Sunday.

"I think Sundowns are strong going forward," he admits, "but I believe the goals they scored were merely due to mistakes committed by Kaizer Chiefs at the back."

Chippa will pin their down hopes of a victory on key men Andile Mbenyana, William Twala and captain Gift Sithole in Tshwane tomorrow.

Your team is going to commit those mistakes too they are due to pressure being exerted by Neeskens boys. They don't just commit thsoe errors out of nothing. U r one arrogant coach that deserves a hiding like these coffin/cabbage/brown bread carries who lack respect for other teams.

Does this mean that he saying some team that was baten by FOUR strokes is playing worse than a team that just got promoted?

I have never disliked a coach as much as this one! More arrogant than Pitso and Malema combined...no wonder you ended up clubless and employed by the likes of Chippa for peanuts! You once considered yourself the best best we have yet you CV can't even make the shortlist for SAFA positions...none the less being approached for under 17 ASSISTANT!!! The truth is, you only know how to plan against Sundowns but the rest of the PSL zizuzeka esrhameni. But, I'm sensing as$ whooping from the boys of Pitori and a "C-Class" english after the game...! Learn to be humble and work hard, u might get somewhere...

Mnqithi is one useless coach, just like Pitso. sundowns will take this one, no matter how hardChippa may play. sundowns just have too much fire power. Sandi, Mampuru, Punch, Mabaso, Xulu, teko, Kekana, Sangweni, Rodgers, MUshekwi.
Call sundowns chokers if you want, this is our turn we are gonna sweep all in front of us. Some games we will lose, others we will draw, but we are gonna win more games than any PSL pretender
