‘KG’ was out for almost three months after suffering the injury in an English Championship match against Ipswich in April, but he tells KickOff.com he is now back to full fitness and raring to go.
“I am 100 per cent okay now and doing full-time training with the team,” he says. “It has been a frustrating period sitting on the sidelines, but now I’m over the injury and looking forward for the start of the new season.”
“I have already played two of the last three pre-season games; I played 45 minutes in the first match and the 70 in the last one.
“We have another friendly game against Reading on Saturday. I am confident that by the time we start the new season, I would have reached my peak level of fitness.”
Dikgacoi has missed all Bafana’s World Cup qualifiers due to his injury and says he is now looking forward to returning to the national team fold and working with new coach Gordon Igesund.
“I don’t know much about his plans, but I am positive,” the former Golden Arrows man says. “I just have to work hard to impress him and cement my place in the team.”
