Sundowns eye Masalesa situation

Mamelodi Sundowns still keen on Lehlohonolo Masalesa

KickOff.com can reveal that Mamelodi Sundowns will swoop on Lehlohonolo Masalesa if his deal with Racing Genk does not materialise.

The midfielder is currently in Belgium where he is negotiating for a contract with Genk after passing trials with them recently.

According to a source working on the deal, no agreement has been reached so far in terms of a contract with Genk.

“Both parties are still trying to compare the figures,” the source tells KickOff.com.

“Look, the football in South Africa has improved a lot over the past few years and the PSL is now paying well. Besides the achievement of playing abroad, he should also consider his salary rather than just the pride of playing in Europe.”

Masalesa was earlier linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs, but it has been gathered that both Bidvest Wits and Sundowns made concrete offers for the player before he left for Belgium.

“Both Wits and Sundowns’ offers were enticing, but going to play overseas was his first preference,” the source continues.

“I believe he would have made a good signing for Chiefs as they lack an anchorman in midfield, but they have been slow in their approach.”

The former Under-20 international’s contract with Wits expired at the end last season.

How I wish my team Kaizer Chiefs would move quicker to snap this boy. He would really make a welcome contribution in our midfield.

Chiefs need this boy more than Sundowns do. I wonder thou if Chiefs is still a preferred club for SA footballers, they seem to be turned into the whipping boys of the PSL.

khosiology: Clearly u dont have much background infor on these players.

Viera grew up at stars of Africa guided by Legodi n Dens coached by Warra, Sundowns will have first preference on this boy.

Sundowns should focus on what they have, they have enough depth and quality. As for Chiefs would have been a good signing after parting ways with Nengomasha. Anyway bucs faithful I remain. Forward the double treble champs every time!!!

I dont mind competition but this thing of Sundowns with chiefs iyangihlanzisa. anytime Chiefs eye certain player you hear Sundowns is behind that particular player. There is no need to mention names but the list of players wanted by Chiefs are known by everybody, Some they dont sign I am refering to Kadi, Benjani. But we will always Rise no matter what.

How the mighty has fallen, Chiefs now getting 2nd option on every player available, those who chooses them, they do so for the sake of getting and earning game time.

Kick-Off.......We do'nt need this player!

They've been slow in their approach, and expect the player to volunteer his services like that Pere called Mulomowa4goals who thinks R50 is a lot of money. Nx.

The next thing they'll blame Sundowns for having too many pages in their cheque-book, I will remain anonymous to avoid iywengu vele!

Sky's the limit....mh.

Heheheeh Makhosi i think thats when we should be worried. Herald Legodi will influence this boy. And Sundowns malicious intentions are propelled by KC's need for this boy.

Any player wanted by KC some club official or club boss linked to that player will cause a disruption or delay against that move. It's not business it's pure hatred and jealousy.

Sundowns need back up for Sangweni,Kekane because Moriri n Nyandoro are already on their way out and Nyatama seem to be struggling.

Viera will bring in competition at Downs, just like we have it at Pirates.

Khosiologyst: Dont write off Wits who gave this boy a chance to establish himself and Wits has a financial muscle.

Jersey Queen will give Sundowns first option and Wits 2nd option.
