Ideye scores against Feyenoord

Brown Ideye scored for Dynamo Kiev against Feyenoord on Tuesday

Posted: 8 August 2012 Time: 11:12 am

Brown Ideye scored the only goal in the 96th minute in the return leg of the third round Uefa Champions League qualifier for Dynamo Kiev against Feyenoord at the Feijenoord Stadion in Rotterdam on Tuesday.

The result means that the Ukrainian side go through to the playoffs 3-1 on aggregate, having won the first leg 2-1 last week Tuesday.

The Champions League comprises three qualifying rounds, a play-off round, a group stage and four knockout rounds. Dynamo Kiev have now qualified for the play-off stage, the last stage before teams are grouped.

The Nigerian international striker has been on fire in the new season and now boasts of a goal a game average in the six matches he has played for the Ukrainian club.

Ideye was rested partially in Dynamo’s last league match and he proved to be the killer once again on Tuesday night as he did in the first leg when he scored the winner against the Dutch team.

Feyenoord coach Ronald Koeman had warned his wards that they had to take care of the Nigerian, who is having a hot scoring streak but the alarm and warning were not heeded.

His compatriot, Ayila Yussuf was an unused substitute, while Haruna Lukman and Taye Taiwo were not listed. Taiwo who played his first match for Kiev last weekend did not travel with the team to Holland.

What we need is a team and commited players. I dont know Ideye personally and i have never heard anything negativ about him. he should be great for the eagles.

I just hope keshi is following this guy's progress and watches his clips to know his strength and weaknesses. If i cam remember clearly, This guy was given just a chance by siasia against Argentina and since then has not been called.
To do well in competitions, we need our best wherever they are. The home based players are good but they are not the best we have.
Football clubs in ivory coast have local players but they still used the Europe based players hence their African dominance and their threat whenever they meet anyone.
Keshi, please be tactful and use your best legs

Keshi will be a fool not invite this guy. He needs to be considered even for the match against Niger - there is no such thing as friendly match, a serious coach should play to win every match

@ehisbaba.He played the friendly against Ghana(Sia1's last game) where his violent shot rattled the cross bar(the closest attempt at goal by both teams in that match).Brown Ideye is a striker prefered by those who knows the game and he was an integral part of Sia1's plan..Perfect men who knew next to nothing about building a team kicked him out.Today the project Sia1 left has since become a mockery and an embarrassment to all sincere patriots. The earlier we use our best legs the better. The so called home based Keshi is parading are spent forces and will definitely not make a realistic future impact.its a pity! #sadpatriot#

Idaye , Emenike and Moses are arguably Nigerias hottest properties in attack. If keshi refuses to invite these guys, then something is definitely wrong. Some People use the Zambian team to favor their argument, isn't that funny ?? How many of those Zambia players are based in Zambia ?? Most of them play for the impressive TP Mezembe and South African league. Is christopher Katongo a homebased player ??? Mr keshi , i hope you're not decieved by beaten Namibia and Malawi.....you better use the best legs and forget this your 'buying and selling' .lol.

i think this keshi of a guy is using all Nigerian because he want to make money, from him base play,we have them to sell so that he can make profit out of them that is what he always wanted business i don't know why they employed him he was sacked my Togo also Mali and Nigeria employ him, tell me are we going forward or back word? this is what you have the ask people in the glass house this is rediclous that the Keshi is playing with Nigeria and claiming that he wants to bring home base while we have bouch of talents over the world playing good foot ball he can not even scout them so what make him coach of Super Eagles, he is not qualified to be our coach that is all, he can not even qaulify Nigeria for nation Cup talk more of world cup we need a world class coach or we will cry again the way we all cried last time.
