KickOff.com can confirm that Santos midfielder Erwin Isaacs on the verge of joining Bidvest Wits.

Santos boss Goolam Allie confirmed this morning that their star midfielder is likely to become a Clever Boy by later today or Wednesday.

“He may go to Wits,” Allie confirms. “We will know by later today or tomorrow.”

Isaacs has been a subject of transfer speculation with reports linking him to Wits and Kaizer Chiefs. In fact, Chiefs’ football manager Bobby Motaung said they were offered the player for R3.5million.

Now it appears the 25-year-old could become the latest big signing by Wits.

Our nightmare will continue this season if we dont solve that midfield problem, of which for some strange reason no one at Chiefs seems to notice- Dladla, Masango, Lebese, Baloyi and to some weird extent Parker et al have proved time and again they are not consistent, albeit being good footballers, they are just too complacent- we can only cling on lady luck henceforth!

I dont think its really glamourous to play for chiefs nowadays. Only idiots who cant stand competion for starting 11s go there. The fact of the matter is KC has taken a downward spiral until the management come to their senses and hire the right administrators.
I beg to be corrected though, not now, but at the end of the 2012/13 season!

Dooba OPC: signing Isaacs cant be defined as beefing up because u will be signing what is not better than what u have.

Same with Morgan Cold,Mathoho n Gaxa. Gaxa is not better than Tau. Sweswe was by far better than Mathoho. Isaacs is similar to Gold.

when u sign, u need to look for a caliber of players that will urge competitiveness eg Matlaba vs Phungwayo, ACE vs Maholo.
