Bafana Bafana left-back Tsepo Masilela, who has been linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs, insists he is not training at Naturena – but there are possibilities that he might remain in South Africa for the forthcoming season.

Masilela was spotted in Chiefs’ VIP box at the MTN8 quarterfinal match against Mamelodi Sundowns, sparking rumours that he could become a Glamour Boy.

“Yes, I went to the Kaizer Chiefs match and was sitting with the Chiefs players because I know them. It was not the first time I had been invited to their games,” he tells KickOff.com.

“But that doesn’t mean that I have joined them or training with them for that matter.”

Masilela has been deemed surplus to requirements by his Israeli club Maccabi Haifa and spent last season on loan with Spanish side Getafe.

“There are possibilities that I might remain in South Africa or even return to Europe,” Masilela adds. “But I’m just a player … my manager Mike Makaab handles all the transfer negotiations and he is the right person to talk regarding that.”

Masilela is training on his own after recovering from a knee injury he suffered in South Africa's World Cup qualifier against Ethiopia in June.

As much as like you ntwana, i believe it wont be a smash if u did not sign with us, we need midfielders... if you sign that is still a big bomus since jambo is just being Jambo- Jambo is not bad, but is not better than you either, so this is a win-win situation... why we lack midfieders is beyond me... Nale, Ktsande, Dladla, is Parker a midfielder... hai my team e sa tlo jewa strong...

Come on boy join the farm they need you. This media people are so confused, you think if Chiefs sign all the players playing for Bafana your team will automatically be good? aag shame.

You do not need this guy, yes he is a good player but what good does that do you if he is forever sitting on the bench injured?
