SuperSport and Pirates to clash 3 times in a week

SuperSport United and Orlando Pirates have 3 fixtures in a week

Posted: 6 August 2012 Time: 12:38 pm

Following today's MTN8 semi-final draw, Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United will play each other three times in a week in August.

Bucs and Matsatsantsa will battle it out in the first leg of the MTN8 semi-final on the weekend of August 18/19, and then face each other in the League at Peter Mokaba Stadium on August 22, before the second leg of the cup semi on August 25/26.

SuperSport are at home for the first leg of the MTN8 semi-final, with the venue yet to be confirmed. They are also hosts in the League match, although home advantage for Matsatsantsa in Polokwane will surely be negligable.

The cluster of fixtures would prove a headache for any coach, but Gavin Hunt says he is concentrating on his team's season opener against Ajax Cape Town.

"I've got a game in Cape Town on Friday, so I'm going to worry about that first," he says.

Hunt points out that SuperSport have been "playing matches in Polokwane for the last two years", and as for tactics, he says they will have one thing on their mind: "I mean, we try our best to win every game."

Hunt is dusting his long lost book of excuses that he will use against Pirates.

With these three games, we don't need coaches because players themselves especially for Pirates, they must show us how and why they are champions. Up the Bucs. Palacoius must just sit back and relax Te oho will record all the mistakes and the following game thereafter Champions must rule.

That is sweet, all foot ball lovers must come and watch football between the champion for two seasons and old era champion.

I think we require Rantie or another striker (Henyekane) at Bucs. I don't trust McCarthy effectiveness and Barbetov (Mabena) is not out and out stiker.

But how do you face the DTC champs three times in a week and not start complaining about the officials? as this is what Hunt will resort to, can't blame him though as every champs win will be always rendered controvesial ask the Zebras who specializes in lame excuses.
