MTN8 draw: 'All four teams are dangerous'

2012 MTN8 semi-final draw takes place today

The MTN8 semi-final draw takes place at the PSL office in Parktown at 11.30am today, and fans are already predicting a Soweto vs Tshwane Derby in both matches.

SuperSport United, Orlando Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns and Moroka Swallows have all advanced to the last four of the MTN 8 tournament after winning their games at the weekend.

Pirates were the first team to qualify for the semi-finals, after beating Bloemfontein Celtic 1-0 in Soweto on Friday, while Matsatsantsa beat Free State Stars 2-1 in Polokwane on Saturday.

The Brazilians advanced to the next of stage of the competition with a 4-1 win over Amakhosi on Sunday, and the Dube Birds recorded a 2-0 victory against AmaZulu in Dobsonville at the same time.

SuperSport United coach Gavin Hunt says he has respect for all the teams that qualified for the semis.

"I can't choose which team I want to play against," he says "All four teams are dangerous. We will be ready to play against any team we pick in the semi-finals."

Hunt says he is hoping his team will continue to improve on their performance against Ea Lla Koto on Saturday, when Matsatsantsa paraded five new recruits, including Lucas Thwala, George Maluleka, Bevan Fransman, Nathan Paulse and Rascoe Pieterson.

"I was impressed with the way we played on Saturday, but we can still improve," Hunt says. "Paulse took his goal very well. He is not at a top level of fitness but I believe he will do well for us this season."

some people have written Swallows off before they played AmaZulu. Even now they must keep writing the Birds off, they will be shocked. Up The Birds, with or without Gordon.

Not all four teams are strong Mr Hunt, only one is and thats why people don't wanna face the strong one.
So who will they play at central defence since their defenders are vivid? Go get Ngobeni if you want a quality player.

Not so true Gavin you see just need to meet the defending champions on two legs and then you will see that not all the teams are dangerous. Let take Sundowns for instance shoukd they meet the champions and play that chreche of theirs witht an errotic defence like that? they will regret.

Wena Sionsport its a given you won the Nedbank cup because you didnt play the champions. I dont want us to play Swallows because the game wont be challenging it will be too easy.

Thank GOD you know who have allowed us to have a quiet night of sleep after yesterday's result in Loftus. Hahahaha. Even Gavin Hunt said it himself, "All the four teams are dangerous." And sorry Zebras, he most certainly didn't say FIVE as you might think contrary to that.

As for my team Orlando Pirates, well frankly I really don't care who we meet. But I would most certainly prefer to meet sundowns in the final because I know these foolish Zebras will support the very culprits who molested them yesterday. Hehehe. Talk about umfazi beaten to a pulp on Women's Month nogal. Even Shakes Kungwane being interviwed by Marawa said "How can chiefs be beaten on Women's Month?" Hehehe, see even your own legend admits that you are Amakhosikazi!!!!

Up the Bucs until Twin Towels FC sign a 'Pentagon' in midfield...

As a Bucs fan, I agree with those who want Sundowns to be drawn against Bucs.
Indeed this is woman's month and Sundowns has abused Amakhosikazi. We want to discipline Downs
