Tignyemb unfazed by Pirates

Bloemfontein Celtic goalkeeper Patrick Tignyemb says Orlando Pirates are in for a shock upset tonight

Bloemfontein Celtic goalkeeper Patrick Tignyemb says Orlando Pirates are in for a shock upset tonight in front of their own fans.

Phunya Sele Sele travel to Orlando Stadium for a date with Pirates in the MTN8 Cup clash. Kick-off is at 20h00.

"We are ready for Pirates and you should also bear in my mind that it is every team's wish to win the first match of the season, and so we will go all out and win this one," Tignyemb tells the Bloemfontein Celtic website.

"We are determined to upset them in front of their own supporters. We must play as a team to defeat Pirates. They are not the kind of a team that you can break down with individual players," adds the goalkeeper.

Tignyemb – who has fully recovered from the head injury that he sustained in February – appeals to Celtic supporters come to the stadium in their numbers to see new faces.

"We have new players that are likely to play, but I wouldn't like to mention their names before the match. It is very important for Siwelele to come in their numbers and spur them on," he says.

"I'm looking forward to playing again after that injury I sustained last season. If the coach gives me a run against Pirates I'll try to keep a clean sheet," he adds.

Eish Mr Tignyemb, your matshebe bro......deal with your bears first before thinking of insulting the DTC.

VV is gone as we speak for making the same mistake.

You making the biggest mistake than Hlokoloza King Khune made and as we speak Gordon went to call Josephs out of retirement.

I hope he is not going to Orlando Stadium looking like this, otherwise Pirates will taking shots at goal from anywhere in the field, even from Moneeb's goal post, they will think he is old man. Football is professional business so can our players look the part please...could he shave at least!!!

May the best team win tonight.....

This guy "Champ Marapo" is too much obsessed with Kaizer Chiefs even though there is no need. I'm a Sundowns Supporter and I get enough of Chips name, whether u drag it down or u praise them the fact is it's becoming monotonous now!

You Gautens praat te veel, you think everything will belongs to you, after this match maybe you will say our goal keeper is a sangoma, the question is, why did they opt to play this game at night? maybe this is a stupid strategy to see so called piratesis going through..so stupid because MTN wants to see the stadium full & u are afraid of our support, stupid monkeys .
