Thwala joins SuperSport

SuperSport United confirm the signing of Lucas Thwala.

SuperSport United have confirmed the signing of Lucas Thwala.

Thwala was a free agent after Orlando Pirates decided not to renew his contract and SuperSport United have now roped in to their ranks but they have taken a cautious approach.

The defender's career has been plagued by injuries and with that in mind, the Pretoria side have offered him a one-year deal and depending on his contribution they would take up a one-year option.

"Lucas has signed for one year with an option for another year," the team's PRO David 'Mazolman' Skosana confirms.

Also joining Matsatsantsa is Nathan Paulse, who has signed for two years with an option for another year.

Despite the fact that this is risky, I applaud SSU for not giving up on our old players and give them a chance to prove themselves. Results during the season will show that these were right moves
