Amidu moved from Amakhosi to Lidoda Duvha recently and he discloses to KickOff.com that leaving Chiefs without playing an official match for them was a bitter pill to swallow.
"I was sad to leave Chiefs without making my debut for them, but in the end I took it in good spirit ... maybe it wasn't God's plan for me to play for Chiefs so I just accepted my fate and moved on to Black Leopards," he says.
Amidu joined Chiefs in January this year, but his stay was blighted by injury.
Now it is new beginnings for the 22-year-old and he intends to grab his opportunity with the Limpopo outfit.
"I feel happy to have joined the team and I'm fit to play from the start of the season. I mean, remember, I was injured for most of the time I was at Chiefs, but now I'm fully fit.
"As a team, we have an opportunity to correct some mistakes from last season and I'm happy to be part of the team that I think will do well in the new season. I'm confident we will be a better team."
