Leopards confirm seven signings

Black Leopards sign seven new players

Posted: 2 August 2012 Time: 08:22 am

Black Leopards have confirmed the signing of seven new players as they bolster their ranks for the 2012/13 season.

First up – as they were officially unveiled at the Meropa casino in Polokwane on Wednesday after the players' awards ceremony – was Djunga Munganga, a midfielder who was signed from DR Congo side St Eloi Lupopo.

Also officially unveiled was Mozambican international goalkeeper Odimba Lama, who was playing for Costa Do Sol in his home country.

Leopards further bolstered their goalkeeping department by roping in Ayanda Mtshali, who was last on the books of Free State Stars.

A familiar face among the new group of players is Brian Amidu, who failed to make an impact at Kaizer Chiefs owing to injuries, but he has been tipped to play a pivotal role for Leopards in the new season.

Tommy Mandlazi joins the team from Vodacom League side Baobab Zero Fake.

Two more players; Mondli Miya and Thulani Ntshingila were signed from fellow Limpopo side Dynamos and complete the list of Leopards' new signings.

@ Tiyani,

Amudu is not a familiar face in SAn football, even some KC fans don't know about him. What is even worse is that he never kicked a ball in KC colours in an official match.

Furthermore, it is absurd to make an excuse for his failure to adapt at KC by implying that injuries had a role to play. What injuries, in which game....

Your support for KC clouds your article, you even stoop so low to sugar-coat, praise & defend mediocrity.

Coming back to soccer, a team like Leopards r here to add numbers. No ambition to win the league or trophies no nothing. They will be happy with their second last position. This r the likes where bigger teams gets their 6 points from
