Nigerian on trial at Pirates

Nigerian striker Yero Bello on trial at Orlando Pirates

Posted: 1 August 2012 Time: 09:48 am

Orlando Pirates have handed Nigerian striker Yero Bello a trial.

The 24-year-old, who has played in both Israel and Romania, started training with the Buccaneers in Johannesburg on Tuesday.

Bello’s agent, Mike Makaab of Prosport International, confirms the player’s presence at Pirates, but insists nothing has been agreed yet.

Bucs have signed 2 foreign players so far this season in Takesure Chinyama and Onyekachi Okonkwo, who has returned for a second spell with the Soweto giants.

Eish now Khoza and Screamer have lost it big time. Rantie was way important not to retain but they acted otherwise. I'm not happy about that at all.
How much will this dude cost us? His wages? Is he worth it? Can he give us the unexpected?

So much for having ze 500k Sponsorship.

I think Doctor Khoza should change the way Pirates is run, and adapt it to the European way of doing things. If He were to appoint Augusto Palacious as the Team Manager, not a Coach, just as Man United are doing with Sir Alex Ferguson, and give Him a Ten year deal with realistic and developmental objectives, Pirates would conquorer Africa and the World. Time for running Pirates like a tuckshop has come to a cul de sac. its time for Dr Khoza to migrate into bigger things. Pirates is a Big Brand. A brand that has the potential to solely transform South Africa, Sadec, and African Football. We usually here that the Zimbabwen Zebra chiefs are the biggest Soccer brand in South Africa, Its high time that facts are put out . surely a family tuckshop cannot compete with the People's team. Dr Khoza, Pirates has a lot of Support base that is not recognised, You need to tap into this mine of wealth and empower this gigantic brand.

I think we need to up our foreign scouting game, we need to scout for exceptional special talent players. If he is a good player, why not sign him away and stop with these trials.....this means we have never seen this player playing, we just heard about him.

I will also join the chorus that calls for the name Tokelo Rantie..........i wrote in the last article about him that we need him even if it means being exploited by those hungry, conniving and corrupt Swedes.

Saw some of the goals he scored on youtube, he is a great finisher and very strong and has an eye for goals, he would be a great signing if Dr K decides to sign him. Call him a cow at your own peril...

I wonder what would it be like for a player whu was bought through FAN'S CONTRIBUTION when hes not perfoming well.Bekhuluma kanje abantu?""Hey this guy plays nonsense,we wasted our hard earned 5 rands whe we contributed towards his transfer fee"".Poor guy ,then he'll have to play with injury coz the fans will be saying "we want return on our investement, why is your injury taking so long?"Poor Nachie will be under pressure the whole season.
