Marques replaced former coach Gordon Igesund, who is now in charge of Bafana Bafana.
Speaking to KickOff.com Marques says his team is ready for the season.
"Our preparations for the new season have been going well and everything is on track," says Marques.
"We had a wonderful trip to Limpopo to participate in the Mopani Mayoral Cup where we unfortunately lost 4-0 in the Final against SuperSport United. We were only allowed one hour to rest after playing the semi-final and most of the senior players missed the Final due to injury.
"However I am happy that our main objective of playing competitive games was achieved and we also got an opportunity to give some of our youngsters an opportunity to show their potential.
"I have been happy with the support I have received from the fans, management and the players. I am confident that we will continue to achieve success in the new season," he adds.
Swallows captain Lefa Tsutsulupa also shares the same sentiments with his coach about the team's readiness for the season.
"The coach has continued from where Gordon Igesund left off last season. The spirit and vibe is still there and we can’t wait for the start of the new season," says Tsutsulupa.
