Chiefs injury woes ahead of MTN8

Jimmy Jambo and George Lebese to miss Mamelodi Sundowns tie

Posted: 31 July 2012 Time: 11:03 am

Kaizer Chiefs will be without a number of players for the MTN8 match against Mamelodi Sundowns this weekend.

Jimmy Jambo (broken nose) and George Lebese (knee) were injured during the Carling Black label Cup defeat to Orlando Pirates.

Siphiwe Tshabalala is still nursing an ankle injury sustained during the Gauteng Sports Challenge, while Jimmy Tau is recovering from a long-term injury.

Bernard Parker could also miss out against Sundowns after picking up a knock over the weekend and will be assessed in the next few days.

We are playing a confused team for Christ sake, no need to worry... they probably gonna field 6 strikers a 3 leftbacks and Modise, so why worry? Who broke Jambo's nose...?

eish, the loss of jambo is going to hurt us most. atleast Nale can play in place of Lebese/Shabba. we always get injuries when playing against these cows. when things don't go their way they resort to hurting players. yeye got a career threatening injury against de same cows.

I think we need to have a re-look at this useless beer competition, i am sure swallows can replace us so we 4cus on more important things. I hope the boys pull through against downs but it will be tough without Jambo and Shabba. K4L!!!!!!!

This is bad news stru, our left side is dead unless Nale plays on the left at least, i really dont trust Ritchie at the back, but i know khosi will rise when they start choking as they always do in cup competitions.

That stupid Mahamutsa should be punished for what he did to Lebese, he kicked him again even after he had wrongfully tackled him.... The psl should stamp out such things, cause in the english premier league players still get punished after the game for malicious acts (Joey Barton,Balotelli & Rooney are prime examples)

As for poor Jimmy Jambo somebody should have told him that Fat Ben's Lumpy arms are like bricks, that's why his nose didn't survive that hideous act & all the other Khosi players were afraid to mark that Hippo, that's why he scored!!

I think we need to take a leaf from the English football administrators because the fractured nose of Jambo was done deliberately after Benni was bottled for almost 90 minutes.

@Dooba OPC,

Jambo's nose was broken due to his failure to rise concurrently with Bin Laden BBM17 & the fact that he has a huge one which BBM17 landed on comfortably. Had he not gotten outjumped by an old fat cow, he wouldn't be nursing his nose as we speak.

Starting 11

........................................Khune....................................................
Gaxa...............Gould......................Matoho...........................Richie...

Dladla...............YeYe.....................Kantsande/Baloyi...............Nale

................................................Majoro...........................
.........................................Nkhata..................................

Subs: Parker, Ngcobo, Masango, Nkosi, Tefu, Sarah Bartman, JNR

Don't Start with Nkosi please and no Zvasiya. YeYe and Baloyi will do the job in the midfield and this is overdue. Nale, Majoro, Baloyi and YeYe will win the match by 3 goals for us.
