Klate: Our celebrations end at the stadium

Daine Klate interview ahead of Orlando Pirates MTN8 match against Bloemfontein Celtic

Posted: 30 July 2012 Time: 04:49 pm

Orlando Pirates will start their MTN8 title defence this Friday, when they face Bloemfontein Celtic at Orlando Stadium.

Pirates have won the last two additions of the cup and will be looking to make it three in a row on Friday night.

Daine Klate believes this past weekend's pre-season match against Kaizer Chiefs helped Bucs a lot in preparing for the real business of the season.

"For us, going into these matches it is more like living up to the commitment and goals we have set for ourselves for the coming season," the winger tells Pirates' official website.

"So far, we have had a good start beating a big team like Kaizer Chiefs and it sets the right mood in the team."

Klate goes on to say that the current team has enough experience winning trophies, and despite their Carling Black Label Cup win are focused on their upcoming matches.

"I think 90 percent of the current squad has experienced winning all trophies with Orlando Pirates, so our celebrations end at the stadium, and from today it is back to working hard and planning for the game against Celtic.

"We have been enjoying a great pre-season and it is all good so far. The focus is now on fighting to retain the MTN8 Cup," Klate concludes.

Well put my galaxy star, indeed we need to concentrate on the upcoming games take one game at a time as we did last season when all the zebras in serengeti were counting us out of the league contention we proved them wrong, what happened to their slogan "rice nkosi rice" in their dreams no one seems to be rising as there are all in the flacid state, lesson number one has came and gone how I wish we meet them on the semi-finals of the MTN as saying in the final I will be giving them so much credit.

Congratulation to Pirates, you have set your standard very high for past 2 seasons, not only by beating by my team but with that never say die attitude, that keep me on stand or sofa until the final the whistle,I hope you can continue doing for this ,hoping that will rub off to other PSL teams for the improvement of SA soccer and as well Bafana Team. DAMN I HATE DOING THIS I AM CHIEFS.

Like Klate just said, ""I think 90 percent of the current squad has experienced winning all trophies with Orlando Pirates, so our celebrations end at the stadium, and from today it is back to working hard and planning for the game against Celtic."

Now, how many players in the PSL, including those of yesteryear can brag about that? Oh I know, only the Orlando Pirates team of 1973 as well as the current team that continues to sweep up every PSL sanctioned trophy. Take note losers, pretty soon, one of these days Pirates will be invited to play in the Spanish La Liga on a permanent basis as there's NO competition for us in the PSL!

FACT: OPFC remains the only PSL team to hold ALL PSL sanctioned trophies in one season!
FACT: OPFC remains the only team in the Southern Hemisphere with a Gold Star (and I'm not reffering to that cheap clothing line Hemisphere worn by Yeye and other zebras).
FACT: OPFC is the only team that goes back to training to improve on already improved aspects of our game and not go back to the drawing board like some nurses and their gay patient cows from next door.

Up the Bucs

@smambo, sit down young man and tell me how come you chose to support Chiefs?

I dont trust you,you too good to be true....

Anyway back to the bread on the table:

DK7,that is the kind of attitude that makes this team special in many ways.

Operation 1 game at a time is in full swing till end of the season,we dont care what cup or which team we playing against.

It is even worse when we play REFLECTORS FC aka DEFENDERS FC or CHOKERS FC aka "Formation 0 1 9 FC",we get even more mean...
