Kwara United have recalled coach Tunde Sani from suspension.

The management of the 'Afonja Warriors' had handed a suspension to the coach following his teams' early elimination from the group stage of the Federations Cup in which they failed to win a single game.

His assistant Ali Zubair was handed temporary charge of the team but he also lost their last group game in the Federation Cup 3-2 to Crown of Ogbomosho.

It was earlier believed that the suspension handed to coach was tantamount to a sacking, as is the usual practice with Nigerian club sides, but the unexpected recall has proven otherwise.

The club released a statement through their media officer Olayioye Ajide who disclosed that the Barrister Bamidele Aluko-led board has agreed to recall the suspended coach following appeals from football stakeholders in the state.

He further stated that the coach had been recalled with mandate to win the remaining league games and end the season on a positive note.

The management further made an appeal to fans of the club to continue to keep faith with the team as they aim to improve their performance.
