Ngobeni training alone

Clifford Ngobeni training alone after being left off Orlando Pirates squad list

Posted: 27 July 2012 Time: 11:14 am

Clifford Ngobeni has been told to stop training with Orlando Pirates first team.

Pirates announced their 31-man squad for the coming season yesterday, but Ngobeni's name was not on the list – despite him still having a two-year contract with the double treble champions.

However, the former Ajax Cape Town midfielder tells KickOff.com that he is no longer training with the club.

"I was told at the beginning of the month that I must stop training with the team," he says.

"Since then I have been training alone and I don't know what will happen as I'm still waiting for the club to tell me what will happen with my future."

Ngobeni was on loan at Golden Arrows last season, but was recalled by Pirates at the end of the season.

Champ-Marapo schooled me yester about load deals, and he said when you are loaned out it does not mean the club does not longer want you. He was loaned last season, and he's now a surplus gorilla. Now as a student, can my lecturer Champ-Marago educate me further on this one.

Performance is the ticket Mchana.......Compare Ngobeni at Arrows and Segolela at Celtic. A team loan you out for game time and prove yourself that you worthy a place in your team. Some players are killed by their attitude and i can safely tell you Ngobeni is one of them. He thinks he is good to be loaned.

Segolela was doing wonders at Celtic, that is why he was worth a return to the team. Just like at training, a player who fails to impress can't be drafted into the playing squad, period.

The tone at which this guy spoke about bucs when he was on loan may have lost him favour within the bucs ranks hence his situation now

In fool not all players succeed in different teams, some are bound to fail. Look at a player like Diego Forlan, he failed in England and was a hit in Spain, terrorised teams in the world cup and joined Inter Milan where he dismally failed.

So Ngobeni failed at Pirates as a player even tough he won more medals than the whole zebras combined in the last 2 seasons.

Good riddance, he is arrogant... he cursed and said all sort of things when he was loaned to Arrows and he thought he was gonna reconnect with his former coach but it was not to be. he criticised Bucs and talked all bad about the team thinking that he has found his freedom to play but bona fela.

And to all chips fans who ranting about this boy, why don't u ask Jessica and Bobby t osign him if u think he is that good..? your obession with everything DTC is pathetic and shameful, focus on your new players and let's hope you will smile come May 2013...

i think he should go to chiefs for gametym. at pirates we have many quality players in your position who are obviously better than u boy.is it pirates' fault that players dont perfom when given the chance to play or are not doing enough at training to even get a chance to play?. as i said go to chips and replace their legend gerald sibeko who spent +-10 yrs and only played +- 15 games bt he is still there and their consistent perfomer nengomashe is gone
