Enyimba slash salaries

Enyimba players and coaches' salaries slashed

The management of two-time African champions Enyimba have made good on their threat to place disciplinary sanctions on their players and technical crew following their disastrous Federation Cup campaign.

Players and coaches of the Aba-based club have been placed on half salary following their shock elimination from the Federation Cup, were they were soundly beaten 2-0 by lower division club Prime FC.

The club had earlier released a statement on their website in which they expressed their disappointment at their abysmal performance this season and accused the players of being undisciplined and lacking commitment to work, despite of all efforts by the management to continuously keep them motivated and having spent enormous resources in making perform better.

The technical crew led by former Super Eagles coach Austin Eguavoen were not spared as they too have also had their salaries slashed by 50 percent.

The management further mandated the players and technical crew to ensure that the team wins its remaining NPL matches in order to at least secure their place on the continent next season or face further sanctions.

ABA boys don't take no shit........Rough Coin Lyrics . Na Pay as you go sha, 'Onye ruo ya erie', c'est fini ! Mr Eguavoen wetin dey happen nah ??? Please get your acts right because Enyimba is a great club and anything less than trophies and top-spot is extremely unacceptable by Aba standards. Anyway, i'm still an Enyimba #1 fan.
