Jackson Mabokgwane set for Platinum Stars return?

Posted: 26 July 2012 Time: 01:22 pm

Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Jackson Mabokgwane could be heading back to Platinum Stars after he was spotted training with Dikwena in Pretoria yesterday.

Mabokgwane was recalled by Downs during the off-season after a loan spell at Stars, but has since been demoted to train with the development team at Chloorkop.

Stars general manager Jason Raine confirms that Mabokgwane was with the team yesterday, saying: “He is here, but only started training with us on Wednesday. I must still meet him and hear about his situation with Sundowns.”

Meanwhile, Sundowns will look to defend their Mopani Mayoral Charity Cup title this weekend.

Downs face local rivals SuperSport United at 10h00, while Moroka Swallows face Limpopo amateur side Baobab Zero Fake FC at 12. Winners from each game will meet in the Final at 4pm.

Gates open at 8am and entrance fee is R50 for adults and R10 for youths.
